The article reflects the closing of Greensboro and Hartford but those cities are still dotted on the map. Thanks!

January 03, 2019

Hi there – this was updated 12/14 on our end and from what we’re seeing, the map reflects the content correctly with both Greensboro and Hartford removed.

Would you mind taking a screenshot and e-mailing me (erin@upgradedpoints.com) so I can see where the discrepancy is here and try to fix it? Thanks so much!!! 🙂

Erin, it would be helpful for other readers if you noted which airports have Flagship First Lounges. These lounges are available to business/first class travelers or those individuals that have platinum status or higher and are traveling internationally even in coach. To have access the person must be traveling international outside of the US and it is available for some transcontinental flights (East Coast to West coast or vice versa). A person does not need to be an Admirals Club member to have access to the lounge if they are flying internationally in Business Class or higher. Right now the Flagship Lounges are in Chicago, Miami, LA & JFK. With lounges coming in Philly, London (Heathrow), and Dallas. A Flagship First Lounge is beyond an Admirals Club with wonderful free food and beverage offerings. I found the Flagship lounge in Chicago to be beyond any of the Admirals Clubs. So far the only comparable international lounge I have found is British Airways lounges in Heathrow. Which also follows almost the same rules as American Airlines regarding access. So if you do an update to your article you should add this information.

Isn’t there a Club that Admirals Club members can use at the airport in San Diego, CA?

November 18, 2019

Hi G.J. Battle,

Though it is not an Admirals Club, flyers with an Admirals Club membership can access the Airspace Lounge in San Diego.

Thanks! Why does McCarran international airport in Las Vegas not have an admirals club?

Jarrod West

November 22, 2019

Hi James,

Since we are not American Airlines, we cannot say as to why they have not decided to open an Admirals Club at McCarran. However, there is both a Centurion Lounge and a Priority Pass Lounge at McCarran, both of which are great options.

Yes, the lounge in Boston is included in the Alaska lounge partnership, so you should be permitted to enter.

Traveling to Fort Lauderdale airport looking for a comfy Lounge to relax in that doesn’t require memberships and will Fort Lauderdale airport let you stay in the Airport overnight? Thank you

Jarrod West

January 14, 2020

Hi KB,

Unfortunately, there are not many lounges at the Fort Lauderdale airport and they all require membership. As for sleeping in the airport, they state passengers are allowed to stay overnight but “can only stay in pre-security waiting areas, that seating consists of chairs with arm-rests, that heavy duty cleaning is often conducted at night, that food/beverage service is limited, and that the terminals are cold.”

George

July 08, 2020

Purchased a business ticket from Charlotte Douglas (CLT) to Allentown Pa(ABE). Is this a reciprocal for American Airlines? Can I use this lounge in West Palm Beach (WPB I) and Charlotte?

Jarrod West

July 09, 2020

Hi George,

Domestic American Airlines business class tickets seldom offer Admirals Club access with the exception flights between NYC and LA/SFO, or flights between LA and MIA. So you likely will not be permitted to enter the lounges in WPB or Charlotte unless you have an Admirals Club membership, hold the Citi AAdvantage Executive World Elite MasterCard, or have AA Platinum status or higher.

Safe travels!
