- You prefer a cash-back card that isn’t specific to a certain merchant
Amazon Signature Card — Is It Worth It?
If you can’t get enough of Amazon and do your grocery shopping with Whole Foods, then you could really earn a lot of cash-back by using the Amazon Signature card.
The card is also rewarding for everyday purchases at restaurants, gas stations, and drugstores, plus offers a solid group of benefits that provides even more value to cardholders.
Amazon Signature Card Top Benefits
Baggage Delay and Lost Luggage Insurance
If your bag is delayed by more than 6 hours during your travels, your card will cover you for any emergency supplies you purchase, like clothes or hygiene essentials, up to $100 per day for up to 3 days.
If your bag is lost entirely or any of the items inside of it are damaged, especially valuables, then you’re covered up to $3,000 per person per trip.
Rental Car Collision Damage Waiver
When you pay for your rental car with the Amazon Signature card, you can decline the company’s collision insurance and be covered for theft and collision damage for most rental cars.
Keep in mind that this is secondary insurance coverage, so it will only kick in after you’ve submitted a claim with your primary car insurance provider (if you have one).
Purchase Protection
Obviously, if you’re planning on adding the Amazon Signature card to your wallet, you probably plan to buy a fair amount of items from Amazon. Well when you do, those items are covered against accidental damage or theft for up to $500 per claim and $50,000 per year, up to 120 days from the purchase date.
Extended Warranty Protection
This protection increases the U.S. manufacturer’s warranty of an item by 1 year if the original warranty is less than 3 years. In order to get this coverage, you must have paid for the item with your Amazon Signature card.
Best Ways To Earn and Redeem Amazon Reward Points
The card offers plenty of great bonus categories to help you earn more rewards, including 3% back on Amazon and Whole Foods purchases, plus 2% back at restaurants, gas stations, pharmacies, and drugstores.
Cash-back earned with your Amazon Signature card is stored as rewards points within your Amazon account that are worth a fixed 1 cent per point. This way, you’ll have the option of applying points towards any purchase when you’re ready to check out.
Fortunately, there is no minimum redemption amount required, so you can use a few points to lower the total on each purchase or save them up towards a big redemption.
If you don’t want to redeem your rewards for Amazon purchases, you’ll also have the option to redeem your points for cash-back to offset other purchases made with your card, gift cards, and even travel purchases. These redemption options are only available to you when you sign in to your account with Chase and are worth 1 cent per point, just like Amazon redemptions.

Hi Joyce, we’re just a travel blog 🙂 You’ll need to call the number on the back of your credit card so you can speak to the bank in order to get it cancelled. Thanks

I bought a number of items off Amazon Using the Chase Amazon card with their flexible financing offers, as well as an item that wasn’t on the flexible plan for around $50.00. I ALSO Was offered a 0% transfer offer for 12 months. Nothing said that would void any other offers. The cost was $28.00. The next statement tells me I have to pay off the $28.00 PLUS the $700.00 amount (which was supposed to be for 12 months) as well as the one $50.00 item to AVOID Interest. Now an HONEST company would have charged for the $50.00 item first, and then 1/12th the remaining balance as offered through the Flexible financing, but not these thieves. DO NOT TRUST THEM FOR THEIR OFFERS!!!
