Chase is home to some of the best travel rewards credit cards out there, and I personally love using Ultimate Rewards points. However, one of the things I always thought was lacking with Chase was a program similar to Amex Offers.

If you aren’t familiar with Amex Offers, these are deals and discounts that come with each of your best Amex credit cards. Amex Offers usually consist of discounts or bonus Membership Rewards points for purchases at select locations. They’re easy to use and can really add value to your American Express credit cards.

Thankfully, Chase has finally added a similar program — Chase Offers. These offers aren’t as well known as Amex Offers and may be a tad harder to find. But they’ll be sure to add some value to the Chase credit cards in your wallet.

In this post, I will show you how to find and use your Chase Offers to save money!

What Are Chase Offers?

Chase Offers are deals and discounts offered by Chase through the Chase website or Chase mobile app. You don’t need to register or apply for anything or keep track or any coupons or vouchers — just activate the offer and use your Chase credit card to pay at the selected location.

After successfully using a Chase Offer you’ll see a statement credit on your account within 7-14 business days.

This program is currently only available in the U.S. The offers are targeted based on how and how much you use each of your credit cards. So, if your card is brand new or you don’t use it much, you might see fewer offers than someone who uses their card more often.

What Kinds of Offers Will You Find?

Chase Offers are ever changing. Offers are added often and each offer has an expiration date as well.

Here are some examples of the types of discounts you can expect to find through Chase Offers (these are subject to change and aren’t available to everyone):

  • ADT: $100 back
  • Shipt: $10 back
  • Walmart grocery pickup: $5 back
  • Kindle: 20% back
  • Dick’s Sporting Goods: 10% back
  • Casper: 10% back
  • Pottery Barn Kids: 10% back
  • Blue Apron: 10% back
  • Piada: 10% back
  • Stitch Fix: $5 back

What Credit Cards Come With Chase Offers?

Chase Offers can be found on any of Chase’s co-branded credit cards and are in addition to Ultimate Rewards earning credit cards.

However, you might not see offers on all of your cards. They’re targeted, so your offers could be different than mine even if we have the same credit card.

When this program was rolled out in late 2018, it wasn’t offered to every Chase customer, so there’s still a small chance that you won’t see Chase Offers on any of your cards (although this is fairly unlikely).

Look out for Chase Offers if you have any credit card issued by Chase. Here are some of our favorites:

Recommended Chase Cards (Personal)

Business owner? See our list of the best Chase business credit cards.

If you have multiple Chase credit cards, you’ll likely see offers on more than one card. I currently have 4 Chase credit cards and all 4 have Chase offers available.

Chase Offers are also available on Chase debit cards — but don’t forget you’ll miss out on valuable points and perks when you opt to use a debit card instead of a good travel rewards credit card!

Hot Tip: Chase Offers are available through Chase’s co-branded cards as well as cards that earn Ultimate Rewards points. However, the offers are targeted so they’ll vary person to person.

How to Use Chase Offers

How to Find Your Chase Offers

Locating Chase Offers is easy once you know where to look. The first thing you should know is that they’re only available through the Chase Mobile app or website.

Using Chase Offers Through the Chase Mobile App

To find Chase Offers through the Chase Mobile app, begin by logging in to the app. Scroll down to the bottom of the page underneath the list of your credit cards and you’ll see Chase Offers.

Click on See all offers to see everything that’s available for each of your credit cards.

Here you’ll see the offers for the credit card that’s showing on the top of your screen. To see offers for a different card, click on the drop-down arrow at the top right of your screen. This will bring up a list of your current Chase credit cards that you can scroll through to select a different card.

To activate an offer just click on Add to card under the offer you’d like to use. Doing this will bring up a screen that will list all of the offer details, plus you’ll see confirmation that this offer was added to your card.

To use an offer just pay for your purchase with your selected credit card as usual. You’ll see a statement credit within 7-14 business days. You might see the same Chase offer on a few different cards you have so be sure to use the card that you added the offer to!

For example, if you have an offer available on on both your Chase Sapphire Preferred® and your Chase Freedom Unlimited® but activate it on your Chase Sapphire Preferred, then you need to use the Sapphire Preferred to take advantage of that offer.

Maximizing Chase Offers

One of the greatest aspects of Chase Offers is that they don’t affect your ability to earn other rewards or discounts.

You’ll still earn any credit card points you usually would when you use Chase Offers. Plus you can still shop online through a shopping portal like the Chase shopping portal or even Rakuten.

In addition, if the Chase Offer involves shopping at a physical location instead of online, you can still use any discounts or coupons as you usually would!

Bottom Line: Since the discounts that you’ll earn from Chase Offers happen on the back end in the form of a statement credit, you can combine these offers with any other deal, coupon, discount, online shopping portal, or sale!

Final Thoughts

You now have more ways to save money using your Chase credit cards. Chase Offers are available on co-branded cards as well as Ultimate Rewards earning cards.

These offers can be activated through the Chase Mobile app or website. Once activated, just use the selected Chase card at that merchant and you’ll see a statement credit within 7-14 business days.

Chase Offers can be used in conjunction with other coupons, deals, and shopping portals, and you’ll still be able to earn credit card points on your purchase!

The information regarding the Chase Freedom Unlimited® was independently collected by Upgraded Points and not provided nor reviewed by the issuer.

I actually got these offers on my Chase Debit Card.

Hi Marie. When you say that you got the offers for your debit card, was it listed under your debit card number or was it listed under your checking account? Thanks!

I can’t find my Chase Reward points on my iPad.

Hi Rose,

Have you tried logging into your Ultimate Rewards account via the Chase app?

I see chase rewards points on my android phone but I don’t see that on my iPad either. Also, whenever I click the Chase offers on my business credit card, the app crashes

Hi Justin,

Have you tried updating your Chase Mobile app to the newest version? In any case, this may be an issue you’ll have to contact Chase about.

Justin,

Did you get this to work? Crashes for me too, on my business cards, not personal.

This is something I recently came across. So apparently, when you add an offer, there is no way to actually see what offers you added (almost like a pending area of list). Once it is added and you use it, I am guessing that is the only time you can see the offer go through and give you credit. Am I correct in writing this?

Like for instance, if you added an offer, would you be able to see an offer in a pending state, before you get the credit? This would be helpful for an individual if they added multiple and they forget that they added them on their card if they ever want to go back and wonder what card or account they had put it under.

I would also like to mention that this is not through any mobile app, this is strictly through the online Chase website.

Let me know.

You can actually see which offers have been added by looking at the list of offers. The ones at the end of the list will say “added” on them. This is not a logical system but I too was wondering and accidentally discovered it recently.

I had an offer for 10% back for using AirBnB. I charged $1100 on my card but only got $28 back which is obviously not 10%. I’m confused as to how this works. Can anyone help?

Christine Krzyszton

December 28, 2019

Hi Elizabeth. Many of the offers have a cap as to how much you can get back. It’s possible that $28 was the maximum. I had an AirBnb Chase Offer that was 5% back, maximum of $10.

I really wish these offers would be automatically added to my cards. It is so annoying to be required to log into my account and view/add each offer individually. Chase really does enjoy offering “perks” that provide no value unless you jump through hoops to redeem.

Just don’t trust Chase. I have been trying to get 2 offers honored for a month, all after speaking with the merchant as well as twice with Chase before the purchases to make sure all was done correctly. Sure enough, didn’t go through but had been told not to worry (of course), but just to call. Well, you can’t speak to “the rewards team”. Customer service even has to email them. Takes forever to get a hold of anyone & when they finally work something out (only 1 of them honored right now), even though Chase offered and it’s their mistake, you don’t get the credit till the next billing period. And the offer I haven’t got credit for yet I finally get a letter stating they can’t locate the offer to please provide a screenshot. And of course, as I told them before purchasing, I was afraid not only of ALL of this hassle but ultimately the offer would no longer be there by the time they look into it or it would be significantly less than the original offer when I purchased… which is the case now. Just don’t use them. Use another bank with higher cash-back.

November 06, 2020

I add them to my cards all the time and make sure to specifically use the card for the deals and not once have I got my reward. I assume I’m not spending enough but I can’t find anything that says how much you need to spend to start getting rewards.

Christine Krzyszton

November 08, 2020

Hi Erica. When you add the Chase Offer to your card, a pop-up tells you the amount you need to spend and the maximum rebate amount. You can also log in to your account and look at all the offers, click on the 1 you’re curious about and it will show you the requirements.

I made a purchase a few days ago and just saw that there was an offer for that company and added it. Does this work retroactively? Anyone know?

Jarrod West

Hi Jamie,

Unfortunately, Chase offers do not work retroactively.

I clicked on an offer to look at what it was and now it was added to my card and don’t know what to do I’ve clicked on it trying to remove it but nothing works. Please help, I can not afford this!

Jarrod West

November 05, 2020

Hi Kim,

Chase offers do not charge anything to your card. They do not cost money. Chase Offers offer you the opportunity to save money if you end up spending money with the merchant the offer is for.

David

November 17, 2020

I no longer see idea in my Chase app or on the website. Did Chase discontinue the offers benefit?

Jarrod West

November 17, 2020

Hi David,

My Chase Offers are still showing on both the website and the mobile app. Have you tried contacting Chase about the issues you’re having?

jj

December 14, 2020

What’s up with the FAQ: No, Chase Offers must be activated through either the Chase mobile app or the Chase Pay app. You can’t access Chase Offers through the Chase website

Katie Seemann

December 16, 2020

Hi jj,
Thanks for pointing this out. This program has been updated and is now accessible through the Chase website so we have updated our article to reflect this.

I accidentally clicked on one of those offers and I can’t seem to get rid of it now. It’s supposed to be a membership that will charge me every month. Will I get charged for it? I don’t want it. Is there a way to get rid of it?

Jarrod West

November 24, 2020

Hi Daniela,

You are not charged for any Chase Offers that you add to your card. You have to make a purchase with the merchant in order to be charged.

I have the starbucks offer. I used it but it still is showing. Do they not disappear once used? Or was it reloaded?

Thanks!

Jarrod West

January 28, 2021

Hi Amy,

Was the Starbucks offered your received for a one-time use? Usually, if it is a one-time use it might still show but it will say “Redeemed” to show you’ve already used it.

Chase hasn’t been reliable in honoring these offers. They repeat them which confuses the account reps when following up. For example, they offered $4 off $40 at CVS multiple times lately. I used it in round 1 and got the $4. Added the offer a 2nd time for round 2 and didn’t get it. Meanwhile, a 3rd round of the same offer has come up on the same account. I’m reluctant to try since I’m still waiting for round 2 to be paid. Their customer service is inept. Follow up is a huge hassle for $4. Not worth it. Amex offers by contrast are rock solid.

Can I still earn the offer if I use Apple Pay to pay the vendor directly, linked to my chase card, of course?

Jarrod West

July 18, 2022

Hi Nik,

Yes, you should still receive the offer when using Apple Pay.

Many merchants divide the charges if items are shipped separately, so minimum spend may be affected and offer will not be realized.

jack

December 03, 2022

Do you need to run your debit card as credit to get these offers and not use pin? Thanks!

Jarrod West

December 05, 2022

Hi Jack,

As far as I know, if you have a Chase Offer available on your debit card, then you should just need to activate it and use your card as usual.
