The LAX location is no longer a clubhouse. It has been retrofitted to be a Delta Sky Club for overflow from the main Sky Club on the same level.
Does anyone know if Virgin plans to take control back and retrofit it back to Virgin dress once Delta has their new Skyway Sky Club open? While I enjoy the Sky Club for domestic use, it doesn’t compare to the food, drink, and ambiance of the clubhouse when travelling internationally.

Hi Kyle,
Based on the VA lounge page, they do make it seem like they plan to re-take control of the lounge at some point in the future. Though they still have not given any sort of date as to when they plan to reopen any of the US Clubhouse locations.

Virgin now flies daily to/from Tampa. Do they have their own club house for business/upper class?

Hi Kate,
Virgin does not have a Clubhouse at TPA.

Useful article thank you. Virgin have recently changed their flight times out of MCO to be late at night (22:20 i think), but the Delta Sky Club lounge that Virgin upper class passengers can use closes at 8.30pm. So basically it seems like no Virgin customers will actually be able to use the included lounge.

Just went to Clubhouse in JFK, flew upper class on Virgin Atlantic from London and have a connecting flight. We also have Amex Platinum, we were told that since our connecting flight was on a Delta it would not count and that they ‘lost their contract’ with Amex.

Hi Jennifer – Sorry to hear you had trouble accessing the lounge. Amex’s lounge locator for JFK indicates that you should have had access to the JFK Clubhouse from 5-8 a.m. Was your visit inside of that window?

If you booked a partner award ticket in business/first using Virgin Atlantic points, can you access the VA clubhouse?
Also, is the SFO clubhouse not included as a Amex Platinum cardholder benefit?
Thanks.

Yes, you should be able to visit the Clubhouse.

I have the Capital One Venture X card and so does my husband. Will we be able to hang out in the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse in JFK with our Venture X card on the way home. We are flying domestic from JFK to California.
Thank you!

Hi Jeannie, yes, you both should be able to access the Virgin Clubhouse JFK per the Partner Lounge Network, but access will be via your Priority Pass membership (so make sure you’re signed up for that). Thanks for reading!

The EWR location was taken off the list of eligible lounges for Amex Plat cardholders recently. Not sure why.

Hi Rob, yes, per our note, “If you are a cardholder of the Amex Platinum card, The Business Platinum Card® from American Express, or Centurion® Card from American Express, you can access the New York and Washington, D.C. Virgin Atlantic Clubhouses via your Plaza Premium access. Limited access hours may apply.” The other U.S. lounges are operated by Sodexo, not Plaza Premium, and fall out of the Global Lounge Collection.
