Eligibility

Entry to any Escape Lounge is complimentary for cardholders of The Platinum Card® from American Express, The Business Platinum Card® from American Express, Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express Card (when flying Delta), Delta SkyMiles® Reserve Business American Express Card (when flying Delta), and Centurion® Card from American Express. Cardholders for all cards but the Delta Reserve card and Delta Reserve Business card may also bring up to 2 guests inside the lounge with them for no additional charge.

Individuals must present a valid card and a boarding pass with a reservation for same-day travel on any carrier (with the exception of the Delta Reserve cards who must be flying Delta).

Hot Tip: You can access more than just Escape Lounges with an Amex Platinum card. Amex Platinum cardholders have access to over 1,400 other lounges, including the luxurious Centurion Lounges. Check to see if you’re eligible for a welcome offer of up to 150,000 points with the Amex Platinum card! (The current public offer is 80,000 points.)

Pricing

If you do not hold either the Amex Platinum card, the Amex Business Platinum card, or the Centurion card, you can still gain access to an Escape Lounge but you will have to pay to do so.

The fee to access an Escape Lounge is $45 per person if you pay at the airport, or $40 per person if book your visit in advance at the Escape Lounges website.

Final Thoughts

While there are only 14 Escape Lounges located in the U.S., there are a further 7 locations overseas. If you travel often, signing up for a credit card like the Amex Platinum card that gives you access to all of the Escape Lounges, plus over 1,400 other lounges worldwide, can provide you with huge value and travel benefits.

After all, who doesn’t enjoy free food and drinks, and a comfortable area to relax and keep those devices charged while you wait for your plane to board?

Escape is consistently expanding its lounge options, and we will continually update this list as regularly as possible so you’ve got the most recent information.

I was presented a guest pass for an Escape Lounge – Terminal 4 @ Ontario,Ca. Settled in, gained wifi access via “their” wifi (not the airports). Tried going to gunbroker.com to do some Xmas shopping. Received error message that the site was blocked, due to the category being “weapons”. I then checkec access to NRA.org, also blocked. For a company with “American” in their name, this is just wrong.

Visited the lounge in Cincinnati airport. Stumbled on it while looking for my gate. When my flight was delayed decided to give it a try. The service was wonderful – Jasmine and Carmen are a delight! The food and drink, and amenities also wonderful. So nice to have a calm place to relax in this very stressful travel time. Will definitely be back and look for you in other locations. Cheers and Happy Holidays!

Hi Norma,

That’s great to hear! Thanks for reading!

Apparently my Delta Platinum AMX does not qualify for the entry fee to your Ontario Ca. Airport location. What is that all about ?

February 05, 2020

Hi Larry. We are not affiliated with Escape Lounges, we are Upgraded Points, a blog specializing in travel and points/miles content. However, please note that the Delta SkyMiles Platinum card is a different card than the Amex Platinum Card and does not come with complimentary Escape (or other) lounge access.

I was told that by the Escape receptionist this morning “ it is a different kind of card “ which does not really tell me much because it is indeed a Platinum AMX card. If you could be so kind to just tell me what makes my card different, other than my race ,it would be greatly appreciated

It can be confusing as they both have the word “Platinum” in their title. The Amex Platinum card comes with a much higher annual fee and offers several luxury benefits including lounge access. The Delta SkyMiles Platinum card is a Delta-branded card and is totally different from the Platinum Card from American Express. It does not include complimentary lounge access. You can read the descriptions and benefits of each card here: Delta SkyMiles Platinum card: /delta-skymiles-platinum-amex-card-benefits Amex Platinum card: /credit-cards/reviews/american-express-platinum-card/benefits/ I hope this makes things clearer. Thanks for reading.

Hello, are the Sacramento lounges closed permanently?

Jarrod West

June 10, 2021

Hi Karen,

They are not closed permanently, but they have yet to announce a date when they are planning to reopen.

Now open 0800-1400 in terminal B as of early Aug 2021- better than nothing, but still difficult to use. The open-hours are dirt poor – don’t usually travel during those hours. This feels like a dodge.

Hi Steve,

We haven’t heard word on that just yet, but we will update this post as soon as we do!

Why is the amex guest pass in 2023 more ($50) than if you just buy a normal pass at $45/$40?

Jarrod West

August 31, 2022

Hi Jon,

The $50 price is for standard Amex Centurion lounges, not Centurion Stuidos.

Will you still be able to bring two guests in starting February 1st when centurion lounges don’t allow it?

Jarrod West

January 30, 2023

Hi Ivan,

Yes, you should still be able to guest people into Escape lounges.
