Capital One Spark Miles Card — Is It Worth It?
If you’re a business owner looking for a card that earns transferable rewards, is a great option for all purchases, and doesn’t have a high annual fee, then the Capital One Spark Miles card could be very worth it for you.
Additionally, the card includes benefits like 2 annual visits to Capital One Lounges or Plaza Premium Lounges, a Global Entry or TSA PreCheck credit, no foreign transaction fees, and more.
Capital One Spark Miles Card Top Benefits
Capital One Lounge or Plaza Premium Lounge Visits
Like other card issuers, Capital One offers an airport lounge network called Capital One Lounges. Currently, there aren’t many locations, but Capital One is working to expand quickly. Thanks to your Capital One Spark Miles card, you’ll be able to visit a Capital One Lounge or Plaza Premium Lounge 2 times each year free of charge.
Global Entry or TSA PreCheck Credit
If you hate waiting in line at the airport, having Global Entry and/or TSA PreCheck is hugely beneficial in getting you through lines much faster.
If you’re not sure of how these 2 programs differ, TSA PreCheck offers expedited airport screening at U.S. airports, while Global Entry provides an expedited Immigration and Customs experience when entering the U.S. from abroad.
If both sound great, fortunately, you don’t have to decide between them as those who apply and are approved for Global Entry also receive TSA PreCheck, and the $100 application fee is covered every 4 years with your Capital One Spark Miles card.
Extended Warranty Coverage
When you purchase products with your card, you’ll receive 1 year of additional warranty coverage on manufacturer’s warranties of 3 years or less.

Alternative Cards to the Capital One Spark Miles Card
Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card
For the same $95 annual fee, the Ink Business Preferred card might be better suited for you if you’re looking for a card that offers a variety of bonus categories.
It offers 3x points per $1 spent on up to $150,000 in combined purchases on internet, cable and phone services, shipping expenses, travel, and ads purchased with search engines or social media sites.
Plus, it still earns flexible rewards with access to transfer partners and includes perks like cell phone protection, rental car insurance, purchase protection, trip cancellation insurance, and more.
The Blue Business® Plus Credit Card from American Express
If you really like the idea of earning 2x points per $1 spent on all purchases so that you don’t need to worry about bonus categories, the Amex Blue Business Plus card offers this, too, but without an annual fee.
The drawback is that the 2x points are limited to the first $50,000 in spend each year, and you’ll earn 1x point per $1 spent thereafter, so you’ll want to take the annual spend of your business under consideration.

Hi Linda,
The Capital One Spark Miles business card only offers lounge access to Capital One lounges twice a year, which is currently only available at the Dallas-Fort Worth airport and not at Newark. Thanks for reading!
