How long does it take to get from Terminal B to Terminal C ? Do I have to go through security if I am transferring from B to C. If I arrive on an American domestic flight and want to fly to Europe on American do I have to go from Terminal B to Terminal C?

Hi Barbara,
To transport between Terminal B and Terminal C you could take the airport shuttle bus, or walk outside between the terminals. Both options will require you to re-clear security though.
Thanks for reading!

What protocols must passengers need to follow when arriving in Logan from Japan at this time with COVID 19?

How do I drive from terminal B to Cape Cod? I am dropping off my son at Southwest and never did it before.

Hi Carolyn. The best way to prepare is to use Google maps. Here’s a sample. https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Logan+Airport+Terminal+B+Stop+2,+1+Harborside+Dr,+Boston,+MA+02128/Cape+Cod,+Massachusetts/@42.0174625,-71.2411835,9z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m14!4m13!1m5!1m1!1s0x89e37016fa7582c3:0xcec2c4cdbf89ebc0!2m2!1d-71.0180355!2d42.3619701!1m5!1m1!1s0x89fb15440149e94d:0x1f9c0efa001cb20b!2m2!1d-70.2962408!2d41.6687897!3e0

How long does it take to get from Terminal C to Terminal E? Do I have to go through security if I am transferring from C to E. If I arrive on a JetBlue domestic flight and want to fly to Europe on Turkish Airlines, how do I have to go from Terminal C to Terminal E? How much time will it take? Will my luggage be directly transferred from domestic to international airlines? Will 1 Hour 26 Minutes be enough for transfer from C to E terminal along with a security check?

Hi Atendra,
You can either take the shuttle bus or walk between terminals. The exact time will vary based on which option you choose and how busy the airport is, but 1 hour and 26 minutes should be more than enough time. Since you’re flying two different carriers on a separate itinerary, you will need to collect your luggage after the JetBlue flight and re-check it with Turkish.

We are arriving in BOS on United Airlines in Terminal B. We are catching a connection on Scandinavian Air SAS in Terminal E on the same ticket of partner airlines. Do we need to go through security again at Logan? Which bus is the exact bus to take us from Terminal B to E? We only have 1hr 5min for the connection. This reservation was made for us by Viking Cruises and we were told that Logan is an easy connection and we should have no problems, that is until I started looking into Logan maps and trying to familiarize myself with the system. Thanks, Roman

Hi Roman,
Yes, you will need to leave security in Terminal B and then pass security again in Terminal E. That is a tight connection, but if it is on the same ticket and your flight arrives on time, it is doable. You can walk or grab any of the official shuttle buses (55, 66, or 88) or a Route 11 bus that serves all terminals.
Safe travels,
Chris

We are flying internationally to Rome with a 6 hour layover in BOS. We’d like to leave the airport in order to tour some of Boston’s historical sites. We arrive terminal A and depart terminal E. Want to know if there’s lockers located outside of security in Terminal A where we might store our carry on luggage and backpacks. This. so we can easily pick them up later when making our way back to Terminal E.

Hi Rochelle,
Unfortunately, there are no lockers or storage options at the airport.

We used an app called Bounce (https://usebounce.com/) to find a place close to the airport to store our luggage while we explored the city during an 8 hour layover. Was very affordable.

I have a flight arriving into Terminal E at 10:30 P.M. After going through Customs, will taxis service be available to take me to downtown Boston at that late hour?

Hi Debra,
Yes, taxis, Uber, and public transportation will all be available at that time.

A colleague and I are both departing BOS on an international trip. We are on different airlines in different terminals with a long layover. Can one of us go to the other’s terminal to hang at a lounge (we have lounge access)? I understand this would mean having to leave one terminal, going through security at another terminal, then repeating the process to get back – but are you allowed to go through security in a terminal that your flight is not departing from?

Hi Jason,
Yes, you should be allowed to do this without issue.

My husband is flying out of BOS, am I allowed to wait with him until he boards the plane if I am only there to drop him off?

Hi Michelle,
You can wait with him before security. You will need a boarding pass to enter the main terminal area.

We will be arriving at BOS terminal A with a very short connection time before our international flight departs from Terminal E. I was told that walking via the skywalks might be the fastest way to get from A to E, but was also told there are “golf carts” that roam the terminals that we might be able to use. Do you know anything about this, how can we grab one, and would it be faster than walking to E from A?
Chris Hassan

Hey there,
It would be a long walk, but doable. The golf carts are generally used by airlines to assist select passengers. I don’t think there is a way to reserve them unless you have a disability or elite status, but you could always ask nicely when you arrive.

Hi,
In May 2023 we are planning a trip to the Disney Parks in Florida.
Unfortunately, there are no more direct flights Paris-Orlando or Brussels-Orlando. We have to change in Boston. We have already traveled to the USA but with direct flights.
Our first flight is AF3616 (operated by Delta Airlines DL225) and the second part is the Delta Airlines DL2697.
Can you tell me where the immigration formalities will take place (Boston or Orlando)?
The duration between the 2 flights is 2h20. Is it sufficient to go from Terminal E to Terminal A ?
Will we have to collect our baggage in Boston and re-check it or will they automatically redirect them to the second flight?
Thank you for your answer.
Greetings.

You will pass through immigration in Boston and then re-check your luggage to Orlando. 2 hours and 20 minutes should be plenty of time since Boston is a relatively small airport.

Thank you for your answer Chris,
Even if it is a connecting flight?
I don’t have 2 separate tickets just a Paris – Orlando flight with a stopover in Boston.
Thank you.

Yes, this makes it even easier. No need to go to a check-in desk, there will be an agent who will grab your bag which will already be ticked to MCO. You will just need to pass through security again, and you will be on your way!

Great !
So, if i understood correctly,
– i pass through immigration
– i take back my luggage
– i give them to an agent
– I go to the other terminal and i pass securiy checks.
And my baggage will be automatically transferred to the second flight.

Apologies for the long post. I’ve scoured the internet for an answer to my question and have even called a couple of airlines — but I can’t seem to get a direct/consistent answer.
I’m planning on taking a domestic flight through BOS to MVY. The segment from my home to BOS will either be on Delta (arriving Logan Terminal A) or United (arriving Logan Terminal B). The segment from BOS>MVY will be on Cape air (departing Logan Terminal C).
So here’s my question: will I be able to get from A>C and/or B>C *without* having to go back through security?
United said they had something called “skywalk” that would connect me from my arrival in B over to C, but I can’t find any evidence of it on the internet. All I’ve been able to find is the Massport free shuttle bus, which is clearly outside security. I’m traveling with my toddler, so, ideally I’d love to not have to go back through security. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Lindsay,
Sadly, you cannot. On connection between Terminal C and E do not need to re-clear security.
