Sun Country Airlines charges for everything but a personal item and the baggage fees depend on when and how you purchase your baggage. That said, there’s only $10 between purchasing a bag at the time of booking compared to at the airport, so it’s not the biggest difference that we’ve seen.

Not in your luggage, but other airlines allow you to carry a cpap, medicines, etc, in a bag separate from allowable luggage. Does Sun Country also honor this?

If you purchased the carry-on during booking, you might be charged a small fee to upgrade to a checked bag since you’d be doing so post-booking. I’d give Sun Country a call and ask, they might even be willing to waive the fee!

Sun Country Airlines states that “Sport bags (baseball, softball, hockey, lacrosse, bowling, golf, dance, etc.) are considered bags and are subject to normal or additional bag charges.” Baggage fees depend on when you add them to your booking, so take a look at the table above for pricing.

Can hair spray and a curling iron be in my carryon bag?

Hair spray that is in a container that is 3.4 oz. or less can be in your quart-size bag that holds all liquids (maximum 3.4 oz. each). This bag can then be put in your carryon. If you do not have TSA PreCheck, you will need to remove the liquids bag for inspection when going through the TSA checkpoint. The curling iron can be in your carryon.

Does it seem strange that when you try to book Sun Country they don’t break down taxes and fees. I looked all over and did the drop down and nothing. Others try to hide it but they literally don’t list it
