Special fares are the least expensive but have the most restrictions.
Saver fares have more flexibility than Saver fares but still have some restrictions.
I think u meant Saver fares have more flexibility than Special fares?? Not saver fares

What I don’t understand is that many of the airline partners are full partners. You can only earn points for one at a time. Such as Alaska, I was told that I cannot earn Alaska points and Emirates points on the same flight? One or the other. Seems a little crazy. Basically stop earning on my current carrier? Very strange partnership. Open to comments or for you to tell me it is different.

Hi DG. You can only earn miles on one airline for a specific flight. You can select the airline you prefer but you cannot select more than one. If you could select more than one, you would be earning double miles for the flight, which would be wonderful, but it is not allowed.

I have been trying to join Emirates Skywards for the past week. The Join page has a dropdown box for dates of birth, but the year only goes back as far as 1972! What about folks born before that? Has anyone else tried to sign up?
Very strange bug.

Update – Capital One now transfers at a 1:1 ratio for Emirates (not the 2:1 listed in the article)

Is Citi still 1:1? Emirates’ website shows 2.5:1.

Hi,
Yes, according to Citi’s website the transfer rate to Emirates is still 1:1. https://www.thankyou.com/partnerProgramsListing.htm
