Hi, Followed the instructions for Status match but it was denied. At least I knew in 24 hours! I am currently Gold with AA however SWA A-list is more functional, IMO, so I submitted the request. Because I was A-list in 2017, I had A-list for 2018 and was just shy for 2019 (1 or 2 flights) so I completed a targeted challenge early in 2019. Because I had A-list last from the challenge they wont give me status match for 2020 from the AA gold.

It’s pretty common not to alloy multiple years of challenges in a row. 2021 would probably let you take a challenge again.

Interesting article! When booking 3 round-trip or 6 one-way revenue fares to qualify for the status challenge, would the use of Southwest travel funds from previously canceled flights count?

Yes, James, that should count. Thanks for reading.
