Be very leery of Eva Air award ticket reservations online. I booked a biz class from BKK to LAX online at Eva Air for Jan 23, 2020. 75,000 Eva miles were taken from my mileage account, and my credit card was charged around $150 for fuel surcharges and tax, and said confirmed! However, I am still wait-listed, and I am told by the phone agents that the flights look pretty full, and unlikely to get a seat. They will not confirm and issue a ticket, and if I want to cancel a wait-listed reservation, I will still be charged a fee of $50. That is the crappiest way a Skytrax 5 Star rated airline can treat travelers (how they get such rating is a bit of puzzle). I consider that highway robbery – in the air!
So, beware!
