Branded and Partnered Credit Cards

Capital One Miles Credit Cards

Capital One miles can be transferred to ALL – Accor Live Limitless in around 36 hours at a ratio of 2:1. This is a decent use of Capital One points for hotels because you can get around 1.1 to 1.2 cents per point in value, compared to the standard 1 cent per point of value.

However, you’ll get better value redeeming your Capital One miles for business or first class flights.

Recommended Capital One Cards

Business owners can also choose from a few Capital One business credit cards.

Citi ThankYou Points Credit Cards

Citi ThankYou Points can be transferred to ALL – Accor Live Limitless at a 2:1 ratio. That means it will take 2 Citi ThankYou Points to make 1 ALL Reward point.

You’ll get a flat €40 (~$47) off for every 2,000 Accor points you spend. Since it takes 4,000 Citi points to get 2,00 Accor points, you’ll end up with 1.2 cents per point in value.

This is an okay, but not great, deal since we value Citi ThankYou Points at 1.6 cents each.

Value of ALL – Accor Live Limitless Elite Status

ALL Silver offers little in the way of hotel benefits, but some of the selling points of this tier include late checkout (subject to availability) and a welcome drink.

ALL Gold gets you category room upgrades (subject to availability, excluding suites), a welcome amenity upon check-in, and early check-in or late checkout.

ALL Platinum is where it really starts to get interesting because you’re entitled to 2 Suite Night Upgrades, as well as premium Wi-Fi, early check-in, late checkout, complimentary breakfast every day at Asia Pacific properties, access to Executive Lounges (excludes Fairmont Gold), complimentary soft drinks from the minibar, ironing services, and hotel restaurant and bar benefits.

ALL Diamond is the top-tier status that gets you complimentary breakfast on weekends worldwide (in addition to daily breakfast at Asia Pacific properties), 4 dining and spa reward vouchers (worth €25 (~$29) each), and the ability to gift someone Gold status.

Bottom Line: ALL Platinum is probably the best tier to pursue. You’ll get the most incremental perks, including breakfast in Asia Pacific, check-in and checkout benefits, as well as access to Executive Lounges and 2 Suite Night Upgrades.

Earning ALL – Accor Live Limitless Elite Status

ALL – Accor Live Limitless status is earned on a calendar-year basis. You can earn all elite status tiers except Diamond status based on stays in a calendar year. ALL Diamond requires a significant amount of eligible spending during your stays to qualify and cannot be achieved through stays alone.

For example, if you want to qualify for Platinum status, you must either stay at least 60 nights in a calendar year or make €5,600 (~$6,520) in eligible purchases during your stays every year. That’s because you’ll earn 25 status points for every €10 (~$12) spent. You need 14,000 status points to qualify for ALL Platinum.

Stays at Mama Shelter, Adagio, Adagio Access, ibis, and ibis Styles are not eligible to accrue status points.

If you generally tend to book fewer stays but spend more at the property during each stay, it might be easier to qualify based on status points via purchases.

On the other hand, if you tend to book lots of stays but spend less during each stay, it’ll probably be easier to qualify based on nights.

Elite Tier# of NightsStatus Points
Silver0 stays2,000
Gold10 stays7,000
Platinum30 nights14,000
Diamond60 stays26,000

Here’s how many status points you’ll earn by brand:

5 status points per €10 (~$12) spent10 status points per €10 (~$12) spent12.5 status points per €10 (~$12) spent25 status points per €10 (~$12) spent

With all that being said, here’s the minimum required spending to qualify for each elite tier, assuming you are earning 25 status points per €10 (~$12) spent.

Elite TierMinimum Required Spending
Silver €800 (~$930)
Gold €2,800 (~$3,260)
Platinum €5,600 (~$6,520)
Diamond €10,400 (~$12,100)

Once you’ve earned elite status, you’ll keep it for the remainder of the current calendar year and through the end of the next year.

How To Earn Reward Points

There are plenty of ways to earn Reward points, and the most obvious is to book stays with its brands.

Earning Points on Stays

Base Points: ALL – All Accor Live Limitless members earn 5 to 25 points per €10 spent. Classic members earn 5 points per €10 (~$12) spent at Adagio Access, Jo&Joe, and Greet properties. That goes up to 10 points per €10 spent at Mantra, Peppers, BreakFree, Art Series, and Adagio properties. Classic members also earn 12.5 points per €10 spent at Ibis, Ibis Styles, and Mama Shelter. Lastly, Classic members will earn 25 points per €10 spent at all other Accor brands.

Elite Status Bonus: Depending on your elite status, you may earn 25% to 75% bonus points during your stay! Here’s how many points you earn by brand and elite status (€10 is roughly equal to $12 according to exchange rates at the time of publishing):

Earning Points With Partners

Transfer Points Between Accounts

Currently, you cannot transfer Reward points to another individual.

How To Redeem Reward Points

Once you’ve earned enough Reward points, you’ll want to redeem them! ALL offers plenty of ways to redeem your points, so it’s important to know which ones will become the most valuable to you.

Some of the available redemption options include:

  • Pay with points at ALL properties
  • Pay with points at onefinestay (private home and villa rentals)
  • Shopping
  • Experiences
  • Charity
  • Car rentals
  • Transfers to frequent flyer programs

Free Nights at ALL Properties

When you redeem your points at ALL properties, you’ll get a fixed redemption value of €40 (~$47) off for every 2,000 Reward points you redeem, which is equal to about 2.35 cents per point.

Private Home and Villa Rentals

You can redeem points at onefinestay according to the following increments:

  • 7,200 Reward points = €100 (~$116)

  • 72,000 Reward points = €1,000 (~$1,164)
  • 360,000 Reward points = €5,000 (~$5,820)

This nets you a value of approximately 1.6 cents per point.

Shopping and Experiences

ALL has a shopping portal through which you can redeem points for various merchandise, such as wine, knives, bags, Apple accessories, and luggage.

The redemption value will vary, but you will always get a poor value, around 0.7 cents per point.

In the same portal, you can also book experiences, ranging from football games to dining experiences.

Charity

When you donate to Accor Solidarity, you will redeem 2,000 Reward points for every €40 (~$47) donated.

Through Plant for the Planet, you can also plant 6 trees for every 2,000 Reward points redeemed.

Car Rentals

Currently, you can redeem Reward points at Europcar (2,000 points for €20 (~$23)), Die Bahn (convert 2,000 Reward points to 1,000 Bahn Bonus points), and Eurostar (4,000 points for 350 Club Eurostar points.

Transfer to Frequent Flyer Programs

One of the more useful ways to redeem your Reward points is to transfer them to more than 30 frequent flyer programs around the world.

Great write-up, as usual, Stephen.

As you are well aware, with most hotel point redemptions, there are no hotel or local taxes paid by the guest (I’m guessing on the grounds that it’s a free stay, and any % of 0 is 0). Do you know if this is the case with Accor Limitless? Given the way their award pricing functions, and with how the program is indifferent as to whether you book with cash and pay with points at checkout or book up front with points, it seems there’s a strong possibility that the guest could be paying taxes with points. Stated differently, there may be no tax advantage to Accor points bookings like there is with IHG, Hilton, Bonvoy, etc. It may be helpful to readers if you could shed some light on this in your article. Thanks!
