Hello. Husband and I are planning our very first trip to Europe july 2023. We are from Phoenix and plan to visit Portugal, Spain, france and Amsterdam. We have 250k UR points. Planning to fly in to one of maybe Madrid then take train travels then fly out from Amsterdam? We’d like to experience a first class flight either from or back to US. I am doing a lot of research to make sure we get the best redemption. Would appreciate your thoughts or suggestions. Thank you

Hi Virginia,
I would look at transferring and booking through Iberia for a flight to Madrid, as business class seats can be booked for 34,000 points each way. Other great options to check would be Air Canada and Flying Blue. Safe travels!

Can you use the excusionist perk after you’ve already booked your 2 flights into and out of the regions. Its so hard to book good flights all at once so I ended up booking flights one at a time to get best saver award, but it seems to make it impossible to utilize the excutsionist perk. Thanks for any tips

I transferred UR’s to United Airlines and booked flights from Chicago to Istanbul with a stop over in Dublin.
Turkish Airlines will not allow me to secure seats from Amsterdam-Istanbul-Chicago. I have spent over 6 hours going in circles with them and United without any resolution. TKA asked me to come to the airport and get seats on the day of the flight because they are unable to assist me with tickets purchased through United. It’s been a nightmare!
